Messenger Issues
So nothing seems to want to work these days.
AIM decides to randomly show contacts as being offline/invisible when they're not.
MSN decides that I actually wanted to block someone when I add them to my contact list. (Though downgrading to an older version has relieved some issues, the latest version of Live Messenger does not agree well with Windows XP but they fail to mention that)
And YIM is YIM >.>

How I long for the days when messengers, you know, sent messages back and forth seamlessly =p Anyways, point of this post is, if you're having problems contacting me I'm not ignoring you, it's probably something fucking up. You can contact me in any other way (email, FA note, etc) to check up on me before you get butthurt ^^ Though yes, believe it or not, sometimes I truly am afk, imagine that =p

In Windows Live messengers defense, the site has always said WLm 2011 is for Vista and 7 only. >>;

Originally it was the app itself that told me hey, there's an update, you want it? It made no mention of compatibility issues. This happened to a lot of people =p And then I figured things out after visiting the site.

I suspect bloat...but then I always do.

Yeah they're all bloatware now, unfortunately there really isn't a simple alternative that everyone uses

*nods* Even most Linux distros are looking a bit fat these days. But at least you can strip them down easily.

Oh I see what happened! Clever of you to do that Windows, when you know all of us can't get Windows 7 D< I fixed it and it's not acting kooky now. XD

Tried using www.meebo.com?

Of course, not a big fan of web based clients though

Ah yea, MSN blocked one of my aunts randomly a few days ago. That was weird, though unblocking solved the problem. Those overhuge IM networks are getting really crappy :/

I use aMSN, and it works really nicely :) without ads and all the bloatware coming with the messenger. Now it would be nice if the network had the same quality as the alternative client lol

Well yeah, of course unblocking solves the problem XD It just makes no sense that they get blocked in the first place o.o

I'll look into aMSN perhaps ^^
